Threecolts has acquired Marketplace Pulse, an e-commerce industry publication founded by Juozas Kaziukėnas in 2015.
Threecolts, founded by Yoda Yee in 2021, raised $90 million to develop a software toolkit for businesses selling on marketplaces like Amazon. To kickstart that, it has made more than a dozen acquisitions. Its software suite now includes solutions for everyone, from a private-label seller to an enterprise-sized brand.
Marketplace Pulse is the most read, quoted, and trusted source in the industry. It has been publishing data-driven research, insightful analytics, and market intelligence once a week for eight years. More than a hundred publications worldwide, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Financial Times, CNBC, and Bloomberg, rely on Marketplace Pulse insights and data for their stories. Conference talks, pitch decks, and boardroom conversations are built around stories first seen on Marketplace Pulse.
As part of Threecolts, Marketplace Pulse will reach more audiences, cover more topics, and double down on its core goal of looking for stores in data. Jim Barksdale, the former CEO of Netscape, once said, “If we have data, let’s look at data. If all we have are opinions, let’s go with mine.” Marketplace Pulse is built around, “If we have data, let’s look at data. If all we have is opinions, let’s go find data.”
