Dutch sustainable parcel deliverer Homerr has been acquired by Vinted Go, the shipping arm of Vinted. The amount involved in the acquisition was not disclosed. For now, Homerr will continue to operate under its own trade name.

Founded in 2016, Homerr uses a network of parcel points in neighborhoods for sustainable deliveries. It is a Dutch parcel delivery company. Consumers in the Benelux can drop off products or have them delivered at these pickup points. The company uses free space in delivery vans already driving around the country, reducing CO2 emissions per package.

‘Vinted Go now has parcel points and lockers in 9 cities in France.’

Vinted Go is a subsidiary of the Vinted Group. It was founded in 2022 with the goal of creating low-cost, sustainable shipping options for the users of the secondhand fashion marketplace. The company is currently rolling out its own network in France, with parcel lockers in 9 cities.

Expanding scale and expertise

With the acquisition of Homerr, the two companies can expand their expertise in C2C delivery. “We have closely worked together with Vinted Go for some time now and we see a great opportunity in deepening the partnership to accelerate our growth in shaping innovative delivery solutions with a lower impact on the climate”, said Juriaan Mathijssen and Mark-Jan Pieterse, founders of Homerr.

‘We see a great opportunity in deepening the partnership to accelerate our growth.’

In addition, the acquisition offers Homerr the opportunity to increase its scale. For now, Homerr will continue to operate as it already did. The founders remain active within the combined company, in senior roles.
